The Overseas Filipino Bank (OFBank) introduced its Mobile App to give clients easier access to their accounts and provide a secured mobile banking experience especially for the Overseas Filipino Workers and Filipino Immigrants abroad.
 
“This is our way of supporting the government’s National Retail Payment System (NRPS) allowing our customers to transfer funds to other accounts maintained at OFBank, LANDBANK and other local banks via Philippine Electronic Fund Transfer System and Operations Network or PESONet and InstaPay,” said Renato G. Eje, OFBank President and CEO.
 
OFBank remains committed to keep its customers particularly the Overseas Filipinos connected to digital financial solutions harnessing our partnership in products, services, and technology with LANDBANK to cater to the needs of the Overseas Filipinos and its clients.
 
Thousands of OFWs have opened OFBank Visa Debit Cards and have enrolled to the iAccess that enabled them to enjoy the benefits of the Mobile Banking App.
 
The new OFBank mobile app which was released last July 2018. Aside from that, the LANDBANK clients can also access their OFBank account with the OFBank Mobile App and vice-versa. The Bank aims to create a seamless and swift experience for its digital channels particularly the Mobile App, regardless whether they have an account with LANDBANK or OFBank.
 
The OFBank Mobile App comes with a built-in security features to guarantee secure online banking such as One-Time PIN (OTP), Touch ID, email and SMS notifications and alerts. In addition to fund transfer, OFBank Mobile App also includes viewing of transaction history and online bills payment. The One-Time PIN is a security layer for transferring money, paying bills and making changes in the account. It is sent to your mobile phone, which you then have to key in before completing your requests. These features are made available to ensure customers’ accounts are protected and safe while doing convenient mobile banking services.  The new OFBank Mobile App is already available in Google Play and App Store.
 
President Eje also said that the OFBank Mobile App is just a start of new things in OFBank as it plans to improve in the future its features to include online account opening and loan availment for an enhanced mobile experience for its clients especially the OFWs and Overseas Filipinos.
 
“We are encouraging all, particularly OFWs to open an OFW account to avail of these services.”
 
“The OFBank Mobile Banking App can be accessed and used after opening and enrolling your OFBank Visa Debit Card (ATM Savings Account) to the OFBank online banking facility. You can now open and enroll your ATM Savings Account powered by the OFBank Visa Debit Card and enjoy the benefits of the mobile banking technology,” added Mr. Renato G. Eje, OFBank President and CEO.
