09 December 2017
For the season of giving, officers and staff of Overseas Filipino Bank (formerly Postbank) joined forces as they conducted a community outreach program for the street children of Brgys. 657 and 658 in coordination with San Agustin Parish Church, Intramuros Manila on 09 December 2017.
A fun-filled outreach activity was organized by the Human Resources Department together with a Committee composed of selected officers and staff of OFBank. Senior Officers also participated in the event headed by the Bank’s President and CEO Renato G. Eje and members of the Management Committee.
The event started with a prayer led by a priest from San Agustin Parish Church. It was then followed by a short message from President Eje. OFBank employees interacted with the children by sharing a simple but delicious meal together and also by playing parlor games with them. More than 50 street children participated in the event who received an extra special treat in the form of loot bags with hygiene kits, school supplies, toys and simple gifts.
OFBank plans to conduct said outreach activity annually for the purpose of fulfilling its corporate social responsibility and at least make a difference for some of the less fortunate people in the community.
